I ABSOLUTELY ADORE GOTHIC-Y (HORROR) STORIES!!! And I’m still mourning the non-existence of 『Alichino』 volume 4. I’m still waiting for it after the comic shop guy cheated me that it was coming (in a week! ) and it never turned up any where. GRRR!!! I definitely think four volumes is too short because there were many, many unanswered questions and er… the plot really hasn’t moved much, but I’d take completed to incomplete any day. So yes, still waiting for volume 4!

Korean manhwa, 『Horror Collector』, is definitely the kind of story I enjoy. I don’t read much manhwa, mostly because they aren’t as accessible as manga and I don’t understand/read a word of Korean and… I dislike those typical cliched Korean drama type stories where poor saintly A hates/likes rich jerk B who is supposed to marry rich bitch C who likes making poor A’s life even harder and somebody has to have a car accident/life-threatening disease, or something like that. But 『Horror Collector』 is LOVELY. The artwork is gorgeous, if you like impossibly thin people with stick limbs, and very detailed. The story is interesting and SLASHY. Evilice and Sin, if you ignore the WTF-ness of their names (), have me glued to the pages waiting for some fanservice. They’re not as heart-palpitation inducing as those two from 『Vassalord』 (but very few are as truly dysfunctional as those two ), but intriguing nonetheless. I did have a problem understanding the general flow of the story a little though, something that re-reading will hopefully help! It was a bit hard telling who said which bit of dialogue and I think it’s read from left to right across the page (which took me a while to figure out ), so a re-read is essential!
